My Favorite Things

August 17, 2009

I am a mom of 2 toddlers.  That said, many of the things that I now call my favorites are as a result ofthem a)making my life easier or better or b)making me look better.  So without further ado, I bring you, my favorite things.

Sparklehearts Shampoo & Conditioner. I have 2 little girls, but just 1 with crazy hair.  Post-bath can sometimes gets a little hairy so-to-speak, because the brushing of her hair is not her favorite thing to do.  But all this changed when we started using the Sparklehearts shampoo & conditioner.  It smells YUM and works to make her hair  smooth and shiny and easy to comb.

Purex Complete 3-in-1.  Gone are the days of back-breaking laundry-detergent schlepping.  I've fallen in love with these little laundry sheets that go from your washing machine to your dryer.  Can't wait to try em out in my new Frigidaire Affinity washer & dryer that's on its way (more on that later).

Fabulous Shapewear by Assets.  Because I've really tried them all (and spinning isn't the  magic I thought it might be).  So while perusing the aisles at Target recently, I decided to try the inexpensive shaping tank, I mean you can't go wrong for $20 (and btw, they're made by Spanx).  And I loved it!  So much that I even bought more!

My iPod.  It took me almost a year to break it out of it's cute little case (I'm lazy when it comes to learning how to use new things.  Lame, I know).  But ever since I'm moving and grooving at the gym and with the help of a $10 plug-thingie from Target (again...), I'm even listening in my car.  I know I'm late to the party, but hey, better late than never.

Lululemon Clothes.  I'm pretty sure when they were designing these clothing they weren't thinking "mommy uniform."  But for me, these superbly made yoga-inspired clothes have become just that.  Next on my shopping list, one of their adorable gym bags (since I'm currently carrying my things to and fro in one of their large shopping totes - not so cool!)

RCA Small Wonder.   It's at my fingertips whenever my kids are doing something extra-cute (cuz they're always cute.  Obv.).  Seriously.   It's super easy to use and downloading is a breeze.  The quality is as good as it needs to be and it's just one of those things that you didn't even know you needed until you had one.  For my full review, visit here.

What do you think?  Are you familiar with any of my favorite things?  Have a Favorite Things post of your own?  Share it here!
